Retrofit energy assessment
PAS 2035 whole-home assessments of condition, ventilation, occupancy and energy performance, as the starting point for planning retrofit work.

Energy certificates
We arrange an Energy Performance Certificate for your home, carried out by an accredited domestic energy assessor. The EPC is lodged on the government register and rates the home from A to G, with recommended improvements.
You must order an EPC before you market a home for sale or rent, and the buyer or tenant must be given a copy free of charge. An EPC is valid for 10 years from the date it was lodged, so check the government register first: the home may already have one.
Private rented homes that need an EPC must currently reach at least band E, unless a valid exemption is registered on the PRS Exemptions Register. The government has confirmed plans to raise this to the equivalent of band C by 1 October 2030, and has moved its reforms to the EPC itself to the second half of 2027. Neither change is law yet, so the current rules apply.
New homes get their EPC from the as-built SAP calculation, which is part of our energy and SAP service.
Your written quotation confirms the exact scope, what is included and any limits for your building.
An EPC lodged on the government register, showing the energy rating from A to G and recommended improvements. You receive a copy, and buyers, tenants and agents can view it on the register.
Sent as a PDF for your records. We can send copies to tenants or agents on request.
Our reports support your duties as owner, landlord or responsible person. They do not replace those duties.
Send what you have. Missing details will not stop an enquiry; we will tell you anything still needed.
Ten years from the date it was lodged, unless a newer EPC is lodged for the same property. You can check for an existing certificate on the government register.
Private rented homes that need an EPC must currently reach at least band E, unless a valid exemption is registered. Plans to raise this to the equivalent of band C by 2030 have been confirmed by the government but are not yet law.
The government has announced reforms, including new headline measures on domestic EPCs, now planned for the second half of 2027. Until then, EPCs are produced and used under the current rules.
The EPC lists recommended improvements. If you are planning wider works, a retrofit assessment looks at the whole home in more detail.
