Accessibility Statement

1. Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard widely used in the UK.

2. Using this website

You should be able to:

• zoom in up to 200% with text still readable
• use the website with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline
• use the website with a screen reader, such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver
• switch between light and dark mode
• browse without animation if your device is set to reduce motion
• read text with colour contrast that meets WCAG AA

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

3. How accessible this website is

We tested the website in October 2026, before launch, on an Android phone, an iPhone and desktop computers, using a keyboard alone, a screen reader and automated checks (Google Lighthouse). We did not find any issue that stops someone using the website or contacting us. We will test it again after significant changes.

An outside review of the website on 19 and 20 October 2026 found some places where keyboard focus was lost or colour contrast was too low, in the quote form, the list of services and the website assistant. These were fixed in October 2026.

Some documents supplied by other organisations, such as reports and certificates from the specialists who carry out the work, may not fully meet the standard. If you have difficulty with any of them, please contact us.
